Maharishi (Maha – great, Rishi – sage) Patanjali is the founder of Ashtanga Yoga. He has given us ways to remove all forms of suffering. These solutions came from the writings of the Yoga Sutras. Many different techniques have evolved for removing suffering. These came from different cultures, religions, systems and philosophies.

“Everyone just wants to be happy.”

We experience suffering in this life. We are consequently looking for permanent solutions to remove suffering, while searching for happiness.

Suffering comes from abandonment or disconnection from consciousness / god / soul, etc. Suffering can manifest in physical, economical, mental, emotional or spiritual ways. For example: Disease, accidents, injuries, natural disasters, crime, loss of wealth, friends, family, job, stress, depression, anxiety, insomnia, anger, negative thinking, memory loss, an inability to fulfil desires.

Through the practice of Yoga we can remove suffering permanently. In our classes we pass down techniques to help remove suffering.
